The aim is to write a book that is “a celebration of a person’s unique vision – a vision which reaches out and shines, touching with magic the drama of life across all it’s limitless horizons.”

– as inspired by Richard Bach in A Gift of Wings #

A hard one  to fulfil that , but perhaps we’ll give it a go!

“it always seems impossible…

until it get’s done.”

– Nelson Mandela

from   .www.mandelamadiba.wordpress.com

“The characters seem to represent the virtues and the resilience of the ‘little’ people, a story (or stories) to which we can all relate. In essence it’s about hope, faith and love: a tale (and tales) of the unquenchable spirit of tenacity in battling on, no matter what are our circumstances. And then eventually finding a way,a pathway to overcome personal adversity … and to ultimately succeed in glorious triumph.”

“When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it’s time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.”

So now  LET’S WRITE THE STORY (fiction, fact, or “faction”?), however one  tale (or tales) perhaps so unbelievable, this couldn’t possibly have happened, unfolded. Or could it??…

THE SOCIAL ACTIVIST AND THE PEACE NEGOTIATOR (from ‘TO THE END OF THE RAINBOW‘)

Tags: ‘TO THE END OF THE RAINBOW’, Peace, Books, new books, Craig Lock, hope

These are some extracts from a new “work” that Craig is writing titled ‘TO THE END OF THE RAINBOW’, where the reader is involved (actively) in making choices: leading to different directions, paths and different outcomes???

We’ll see where it all ends up!

THE SOCIAL ACTIVIST AND THE PEACE NEGOTIATOR (from ‘TO THE END OF THE RAINBOW‘)

THE IDEAL: THE HOPE FOR PEACE

Through her life the activist had a passion for respect for all human beings, tolerance, compassion, decency and generous ideals…but also and most importantly, liberation for her people, her nation.

She often prayed for the realisation of a society where “every political choice from the “beloved” country’s leaders downward, would be inspired for respect for the human person.”

She spoke softly, yet with a great passion, as well as a quiet strength in her voice…

“We share your objectives and we must move from indirect talks to face-to-face negotiations. As a result we are continuing our efforts to reach a formula that will help us launch serious negotiations, final negotiations with a defined time-frame, a defined agenda.

We should and we CAN all be far bolder in promoting peace, human rights and social justice. There are other ways to resolving conflict other than through war.”

After a brief pause, she continued…

“Our biggest problem, as always, is how do we get into the head of somebody, the enemy. We must move beyond addressing bombs and bullets to winning the hearts and minds of the people.

Reconciliation cannot merely be a “feel good’ concept, but will be achieved by a process of social and economic transformation. Only by doing this will we eventually eradicate the disparities between different sectors of society and consequently ensure a durable reconciliation.

By being here today, you each have taken an important step towards freeing your peoples from the shackles of a history, a past we cannot change. However, we can all move towards a future, a new dawn of peace, respect and dignity that only YOU can create.

And finally, to create individual peace within individual human beings is to create outer peace of this world.”

“Peacemakers who sow in peace will reap a harvest of righteousness.”

– James 3:18

THE EVANGELIST

“As the Father has sent me, I also send you.”

John 20:27

“Peacemakers who sow in peace will reapa harvest of righteousness.”

– James 3:18

Jesus personally brings to earth, justice, peace and prosperity.

And as ambassadors for Christ, each ONE of us is an instrument of peace.

It is only through a person’s inseperable relationship with God that leads to a true and lasting stability, security and peace of mind.

i

Be a light of hope to others

Aim at heaven and you’ll have earth thrown in. At at earth and you’ll hit neither.”

– the words of CS Lewis

“When (or if ever) you arrive in heaven, let faith, hope and love be the wings that carried you there.”

– as adapted from the inspiring words of Jonathan Edwards, former minister in New England, Massachusetts

And every time c came to a cross-roads in his “rather eventful” life (and they were many of them, key intersections, life crises and time to make major decisions, choices on what path to follow,  that would have significant impact on the way his life unfolded. So c followed her instinct, gut feeling, the line of least resistance, heart, whatever you may wish to call it. It really was a battle between the mind and the heart… and her heart ALWAYS won!

So c chose the highest path, “the road less travelled”.

And so c carried on writing… and here it is!

“The path (the mind) chooses the route you are travelling on; but, most importantly, the heart determines the direction. Just keep moving… one step at a time in the right direction through following your heart.. and one sunny day you’ll get there… to the end, the Source of the rainbow.”

SPLENDOUR (THE END)

To the End of the Rainbow

To the End of the Rainbow

The two bitter adversaries, sworn enemies for so many years clasped and shook hands, firmly; then embraced each other warmly. They raised each others hands to the heavens. Resplendent were the bright beams of forgiveness for past deeds, evil deeds and grace that shone forth.

And overhead, gently breaking over the pitch black horizon, in grandiose splendour, the golden early morning sun announced the coming of a beautiful new day…one filled with great insight and brilliant light in a new glorious dawn. Resplendent in the bright glory of God, a bright morning star overhead to guide these two leaders of the twentieth century and their lives .. forever.

resplendent in the bright glory of God, a bright morning star to guide him and his life… forever
